Measurement Principle

  • The optical fluorescence dissolved oxygen sensor is based on the physics principle of quenching the specific fluorescence of a particular substance.
  • The blue light coming from the light emitting diode (LED) illuminates the inner surface of the fluorescent cap, which is stimulated to emit red light by detecting the phase difference between the red and blue light and the inner calibration value.
  • The oxygen molecule concentration is calculated by counting the ratio and the final value is automatically compensated for by temperature and pressure.
